Job Profile Summary:We are looking for a experienced manager to oversee, lead and inspire innovation in our global Software Operations function. In this position, you will play an integral role in helping to evolve our software delivery processes as well as helping to manage and grow the people in your team. Job Description:As a Manager of our Software Operations team you will be responsible for promoting innovation and efficiency whilst improving processes for stable, efficient and profitable software deliveries. You will be tasked with leading a team of talented engineers, with the aim to enhance our development productivity, address issues, and ensure system reliability.Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement strategies to enhance operational processes and increase efficiency, contributing to financially profitable and stable software operations.
  • Work with different departments to improve software development productivity and address operational issues, ensuring system reliability and meeting product and customer needs.
  • Create and maintain frameworks for standardizing software deployment processes, development workflows, and system configurations to ensure consistent and high-quality software delivery.
  • Track software delivery and operational performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to address inefficiencies and risks.
  • Align business requirements with resource planning to ensure efficient and cost-effective allocation of resources and investments.
  • Manage team budget to align with strategy, ensuring financial feasibility across projects. Contribute to the development of departmental budget.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and assess the financial impact of software delivery in the portfolio, while planning for future needs, measuring ROI, and managing financial risks to enhance overall portfolio performance.
  • Lead and drive a team of individual contributors with a focus on tactical strategy delivery by setting clear direction and transparent expectations, to exhibit the culture and values of the business and achieve / exceed performance measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Software Operations service quality, including incident management and driving DevOps initiatives

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in software operations, software delivery, or a related field & at least 3 years in a technical management role. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field would be beneficial.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of DevOps and software operations engineers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
  • Deep understanding of software development/software delivery with experience in driving DevOps practices and SDLC efficiencies.
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Fluent Bit.
  • Understanding of security best practices and tools for cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives within the team and the broader organization.
