As Manager for the Data & Digital team within the API Manufacturing Science Analytical Technology (MSAT), you will lead a team of experts, achieving the organization’s goals through advanced modeling and digitalization initiatives. Your efforts will drive progress and innovation in our current and future products and facilities.You can look forward to:
- Team Leadership: Lead and develop the team comprising 19 direct reports, including specialists and 8 students.
- Digitalization Initiatives: Guide the team in developing, testing, validating, and implementing digitalization initiatives to enhance our operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Advanced Modelling: Lead the team in utilizing advanced mathematical models to estimate production capacity and perform virtual experiments across PS API (Product Supply, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient), identifying the most promising ideas for further experimentation and development.
- Stakeholder Management: Support and develop stakeholder management in the team, and manage relationships with stakeholders from related teams and leaders at different levels. The team is working cross organizationally at different locations and is expected to understand the business area at a broad scale.
- Talent Development: Supervise graduate students annually to identify potential talent and support the education and development of team members.
In this role, you will also participate in steering groups to ensure continued development, alignment, support, and goal setting for advanced modelling and digitalization. You will ensure adherence to Novo Nordisk’s policies and best practices, fostering continuous alignment and communication within the team. Your leadership will be crucial in driving strategic initiatives and maintaining high standards of excellence.Qualifications
We are looking for a candidate who is experienced in leading an expert team through navigating the complexities of manufacturing processes and organizational structures. You should also have:
- Academic background in engineering or natural science, for example in chemical engineering, industrial engineering, mathematical engineering, or other related fields.
- Proven experience in leading teams and driving strategic initiatives, with excellent organizational skills.
- High analytical capacity, flexibility, and change readiness, coupled with a strategic mindset and independent decision-making ability.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and cooperate across the organization.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is highly advantageous, along with familiarity with data systems, analytics, and organizational studies.

You demonstrate natural ownership and leadership, showing empathy, respect, and understanding for others’ work. The job is within PS API MSAT Business Support department, located in Bagsværd. Our team provides essential services and assistance to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of MSAT. You will lead the team, responsible for developing and implementing MSAT strategy of data, digital solutions, and modelling related to current and future products.
