In line with this transformation, we are combining our value chain “enabling” functions – Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance & Facility Services and Operational Excellence – into a new, multidisciplinary support department, while attracting additional talents.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned

  • Build a successful support team, consisting of Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance & Facility Services and Operational Excellence (expanding from 4 to 6 FTE)
  • Develop existing and new talents towards high performers
  • Troubleshoot and improve processes, focused on unburdening our manufacturing-, inspection- and warehouse teams
  • Embed continuous improvement and simplification in our value chain
  • Further deploy our Medtronic Performance System (MPS), thereby optimizing reliability, productivity, throughput times, compliance and safety
  • Foster effective Tier management and support problem-solving
  • Boost equipment reliability and capacity utilization
  • Drive process automation and digitization and promote data analysis and visualization
  • Manage continuous improvement projects and facilitate workshops
  • Take Process Validation to the next level, in line with applicable standards in the medical device arena
  • Optimize alignment with other enabling functions, like Planning, Safety, Quality, Sourcing and Product Engineering

  • 10+ years of multi-company working experience in several engineering roles in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Well-developed coaching skills and comfortable with applying modern management techniques in small teams
  • Broad understanding and vision about industrial engineering, production technology, preventive maintenance, trouble shooting, integrated quality and factory-safety
  • Excellence in continuous improvement with proven track record of achieving outstanding performance in discrete manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated successes in managing change and transformation in a multidisciplinary organization
  • Strong project management expertise and outstanding documenting-, reporting- and presenting skills

Nice to Haves

  • Fluency in Dutch and English (oral and writing)
  • Knowledge of process automation and business digitization
  • Insights in equipment investment planning
  • Advanced software expertise (office, business intelligence reporting, data )
  • Working expertise in and / or strong affinity with highly regulated industries, like medical devices or pharma
  • Willingness to incidentally (
