Manager Data Science

Job Description:

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead data science projects from inception to completion, ensuring that objectives are met.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and data-driven solutions.
• Define and manage project scopes, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines and data infrastructure.
• Monitor the quality and integrity of data, conducting data cleansing and preprocessing, as necessary.
• Oversee data visualization and reporting activities to effectively communicate results.
• Mentor and guide junior team members in data science methodologies and best practices.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation in data science.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Typically, 7+ years of relevant work experience in industry, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role
• Proficiencies in data manipulation, database management, and statistical analysis
• Continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technology

Other Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus
• Possession of relevant certifications like Data Science Professional (DSP) certification is a plus
