• Customer Satisfaction and Relationship Building: Achieve customer satisfaction targets by building and maintaining relationships with internal colleagues, external customers, and brokers, and resolving quality and customer service problems.
• Team Leadership and Development: Motivate and lead the team to develop and grow efficiently, drive the performance management process, provide feedback, and facilitate employee development with clear direction.
• Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare reports, consolidate claims data into clear statistics, and collaborate with senior claims experts to identify trends and recommend short and long-term improvements.
• Collaboration and Insight Sharing: Assist other departments in product development by providing claims insights, stimulate collaboration, and drive the coaching and mentoring of senior claims experts to close knowledge gaps and support a learning environment.
• Process Improvement and Compliance: Contribute to the development and implementation of systems and process improvements, ensure consistency and continuous improvement, and review and propose speedy resolutions in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Professional Development and Confidentiality: Maintain professional skills and those of the team through training and workshops, share best practices and claims developing trends, protect Zurich’s reputation by ensuring claims information is kept confidential, and create a workplace culture consistent with Zurich’s mission and vision.

What we are looking for:

• University degree in law, preferably in insurance law specialty with extensive experience and interest in insurance and claims.
• Proficient in Dutch and French with a solid command of English (non-negotiable).
• Effective communicator, delivering clear, persuasive, and straightforward messages to all stakeholders (internal & external).
• Proven track record in frequency claims handling, with an affinity in processing large claims amounts, and with added benefit of experience in Accident & Health or Marine claims.
• Skilled in fostering team growth and collaboration with a transparent work approach, possessing strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
