General Maintenance & Site Security Support Operatives

Mansfield, Nottinghamshire

£12.11 – £13 per hour dependant on experience

40-hour contract working Monday to Thursday, 11:30am 10:00pm, to cover the day shift and site security during the twilight hours

Fresh Start Recruitment is currently supporting a Global manufacturing company with the recruitment of General Maintenance & Site Security Support Operatives to support their growing team. The successful applicant will have previously worked in this field. The role is to start asap and they are ideally looking for people who are available on a temp to perm or perm basis from day 1 dependant on experience.

Principle Objectives

• To support the day to day operations of the Facilities Maintenance Department.
• To help maintain the standards of company buildings, grounds and fixtures.
• Basic maintenance and plumbing duties.
• To carry out duties in accordance with regulations as stipulated by statutory bodies e.g. health & safety executive and internal procedures.
• To carry out ongoing preventative maintenance to company buildings on a rotational basis.
• To provide additional site security and work in conjunction with the onsite security contractor.

Main Duties

• To carry out preventative maintenance procedures as required in accordance with the company preventative plan.
• To carry out repair maintenance to equipment, machinery & plant as required.
• To carry out building repairs and maintenance as required.
• To carry out decorating both internally & externally of all sites.
• To maintain the grounds of the buildings as required.
• Assist in the maintenance and storage of company exhibition items and equipment.

Site Security:

• Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring authorized personnel are allowed entry.
• Conduct regular security patrols to deter and detect any suspicious activity.
• Respond to security incidents, investigate disturbances and coordinate with law enforcement if necessary.
• To undertake any additional duties as requested by the maintenance manager or supervisor.
• To use own initiative to ensure completion of tasks.
• To undertake driving duties on behalf of the company, in company vehicles as and when required.

Minimum level of education which the job requires

• Full driving licence
• Good standard of education (GCSE s or equivalent)
• Basic computer knowledge
• Awareness of, and adherence to, all Company Policies and Procedures
• Experience of working within a general maintenance background
