Job Role: Maintenance Controller
Location: Derby
Pay: £30K – £33K + Bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.45pm, 9.00am-5.15pm or 9.45am-6pm
Shift: Days / 37.5 hrs per week
Contract: Full time Permanent role

Maintenance Controller opportunity
Join our Fleet Management Team, where you will play a key role in supporting customers and ensuring that our fleet of HGVs and LCVs stays operational. This involves managing breakdowns, defects, and repairs swiftly and efficiently while keeping costs in check.
Maintenance Controller duties
– Respond to calls regarding breakdowns, repairs, and maintenance issues for HGV and LCV fleets.
– Coordinate and book repairs with appropriate suppliers and workshops, aiming to minimize vehicle downtime.
– Effectively manage time to maximize productivity and ensure efficient workflow between workshops and customers.
– Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in company systems to keep the customer portal current.
– Escalate any issues that may negatively impact the customer or business to the Fleet Support Manager.
– Communicate any rechargeable work to customers following company procedures and timeframes.
– Working alongside the wider Fleet Management team, you will communicate with customers and suppliers via phone and email, providing excellent customer service and actively reducing vehicle off-road (VOR) statistics.
Maintenance Controller experience
– Are an experienced administrator with a strong understanding of HGVs and LCVs, including managing breakdowns and defects.
– Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
– Have strong attention to detail and are comfortable working with numbers.
– Are a proven problem solver.
– Can work both independently and as part of a fast-paced team.
– Can manage your workload effectively and prioritize tasks.
– It Would Be Great (But Not Essential) If you have a technical background working on HGVs and LCVs, with strong knowledge of maintenance and breakdown procedures.
