Offer DescriptionPreparation of microspheres of a luminescent nanocomposite to be aggregated to plankton cells (microalgae and bacteria)Implementation of a microfluidic device for photopolymerization of droplets in flow
Synthesis of nanoparticles with upward conversion (i.e. NaREF4) Optimization of their incorporation in an organic polymer. Test of different monomers.
Evaluation of the performances of the resulting latex (luminescence, colloidal stability biological interactions)This 2-year postdoctoral fellowship is part of an international project of the HFSP organisation, in collaboration with soft matter physicists (Spain), plankton ecologists (Australia) and molecular microalgae biologists (UK).
