Would you like to set the direction and direct the development agenda in our customer driven Supply Chain organization in collaboration with local teams of Arla Foods International?“As part of our ambitious strategy, Arla Foods is searching for a bright mind with excellent supply chain insight, who can define and implement best-in-class logistic operations and processes from production to store with full cooperation and collaboration with local markets. You will be the key resource and support point to drive best in class solutions whilst ensuring they fit local needs,“ says Peyami Birsen, head of global logistics development & efficiency.You will be responsible for spearhead projects and align our organization towards world-class supply chain in our International business unit covering MENA, Americas, Asia, SSA, Distributor Sales Rest of World (RoW) and subsidiaries in Eastern and Southern Europe.Read more about our part of business here:Your office location will be Viby where Arla Foods headquarter is and reporting directly to Peyami Birsen. The role will involve approximately 40% travel.How you will make an impactOur new logistics development & efficiency manager will be driving improvements across transport, warehouse and systems to develop and implement a cost-efficient supply chain strategy. This includes:
- Ensuring cost-competitive, sustainable, and lean route-to-market set-up through optimizing footprint, routes, and equipment utilization, and realizing synergies across markets.
- Supporting and challenging markets to develop and deliver on optimization activities and pro-jects including running loss analysis, finding inefficiencies, and taking all necessary actions.
- Driving global KPIs with SQCDMP content and analysis as well as our continuous improvement agenda.
- Developing and promoting digital tools, leveraging the use of data for analysis and decision-making.
- Supporting logistics and planning collaboration activities with customers, distributors, and Joint Venture partners.
What will make you successfulYou have an excellent toolbox and the personal clout to bring projects from idea to implementation. In addition to strong project management skills and logistics and planning knowledge, you probably hold a master’s degree in supply chain management or another relevant academic degree. You are used to working in global settings, both developed and developing markets, and are an excellent communicator who is able to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders. Furthermore you have:
- A logistics profile with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar position in logistics.
- A solid understanding of warehouse, primary/secondary transportation, and preferably a good understanding of international container transports and the mechanisms in the shipping world.
- Lean/continuous improvement mindset.
- A track record within change management and development.
- A sound financial understanding.
- High intellectual capacity and strategic perspective.
- Ability to unite and inspire an organization around a shared agenda through your influence and strong communication skills.
