Minimum qualifications:
Law degree from a Belgian University, with a specialisation (LLM) in law and new technologies, commercial law, copyright law or privacy law.
Experience working in a law firm or legal department of a company.
Ability to communicate in English, Dutch and French fluently to support client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with legal analysis and research.
Experience in intellectual property, technology, or media law, with an interest in technology and IT-relevant legal problems and recent developments.
Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Available to start between February to March 2025 for 12 months fixed-term contract.
As a Legal Trainee, you will help to respond to legal challenges of the information age. You will get an insight into a variety of legal challenges at Google and YouTube, while promoting the development of internet law in an unconventional environment.
In this role, you will enhance your organizational skills, attention to detail, versatility and composure, while also getting the opportunity to demonstrate that you have sound legal judgment, can learn quickly in a fast-paced environment, and can communicate at all levels.

Conduct legal research on a variety of legal topics (e.g., intellectual property, consumer regulations, media regulations, advertising law, data protection, etc.).
Respond to various legal requests from users and third-parties in relation to Google services.
Assist the Legal team in the preparation and the management of court actions.
Participate in the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge databases for the Legal team.
Participate in the review and drafting of agreements.
