Legal/Policy Trainees and Consultants

Spark Legal and Policy Consulting is looking to recruit dynamic and pro-active legal/policy consultants with experience in EU legal or policy consultancy work and highly motivated trainees to strengthen the team on a full-time basis.

As a team member at Spark you will, amongst other things, engage in the following tasks: 

For Trainees:

• Assisting with the acquisition of new projects and studies through tendering   
• Assisting with project management of projects and studies, including the coordination of cross-border research teams  
• Conducting legal and policy research and analysis, and reporting on findings
• Communicating with a wide range of high-profile experts and clients   

For Consultants:

• Actively contributing to the acquisition of new projects and studies through tendering  
• Executing projects and studies, including the management of project teams, the coordination and performance of cross-border legal and policy research and (comparative) analysis, and the drafting of project reports and presentations
• Communicating with a wide range of high-profile experts and clients  
• Actively staying up-to-date with relevant EU law and policy developments

For Trainees:

• At least a Master’s Degree in Law (a stage/internship or other work experience at the EU institutions would be a plus)
• An interest in and understanding of EU law and policy
• Excellent research and analysis skills   
• A strong work ethic, an enthusiastic, flexible attitude, and excellent communication skills 
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team   
• English language proficiency

For Consultants:

• At least three years of relevant experience in EU legal and policy (consultancy) work
• Leadership qualities
• Excellent research and analysis skills 
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• An interest and ability to take an active role in Spark’s growing business
• English language proficiency
