Right now, we’re searching for a Legal Counsel Content in our Copenhagen office – are you ready to hit play on an exciting career change?The roleYou will be part of Viaplay Group’s cross-border legal function and report to Head of Legal & Business Affairs Content. You will act as a business partner to Viaplay Group’s Content team and Content Acquisition team, and you will be working in a creative and inspiring environment.You will, together with the lawyers in the Legal & Business Affairs Content team:

  • Draft and negotiate content related agreements, such as programme production agreements, content acquisition agreements, format agreements, talent agreements, etc.
  • Help build and develop effective relationships with external partners and key business stakeholders
  • Together with relevant stakeholders, align content rights with sublicensing, sales and customer needs to ensure back-to-back mitigation of risks and maximizing opportunities.
  • Assist with other legal matters and internal approvals related to content

What we’re looking forWe understand you may feel confident ticking certain boxes more than others and that’s why we always keep an open mind in our recruitment process. But, in order to thrive in this role, we do believe you’ll have at least some experience in the following:

  • Approximately 3-5 years work experience, including experience of negotiating and drafting commercial agreements
  • Experience in intellectual property law
  • Excellent English skills, both written and verbal
  • Being a solution-oriented team player with a strong ability to build relationships and deliver pragmatic legal advice to colleagues at all levels.
  • Master of Law degree

It’s a bonus if you have:

  • Another Nordic language (in addition to Danish)
  • Experience from the film and TV industry
  • A can-do attitude and a good sense of humor
