Job DescriptionAbout the positionDue to parental leave, we have an exciting opportunity available for an interim Head of Legal Benelux! This role will support the various Dutch and Belgian business teams (e.g. sales, marketing, HR and factory teams) and will report to the General Counsel of Continental Europe. Additionally, the role supports the Indirect Procurement team on matters relating to the Benelux and/or having an European nature but with a core focus within the Benelux.Purpose of the job(1) Be a business partner who works closely with the Dutch and Belgian business teams by providing commercially-minded and pragmatic FMCG related legal advice. Help the business achieve the company goals by addressing legal issues on a day-to-day as well as on a strategic basis to.(2) Support the General Counsel of Continental Europe.(3) Advise on overall strategic basis as a member of the local leadership team.In brief, the key results are:Providing practical, innovative, and high quality legal advice in relation to:

• Contracts
• General Commercial Law
• Intellectual Property Rights
• Corporate Governance
• Competition Law
• Data protection
• Media and Advertising Law
• Regulatory/compliance risk analysis with Regulatory team
• ESG matters

to ensure that the Kraft Heinz businesses and brands are protected and to facilitate the achievement of the business goals.QualificationsMust haves
Please kindly note that you need to have an EU Working Permit (Orientation Year Visa not included) in order to proceed for this position.

• Qualified Dutch Lawyer (non-bar admitted) with 5-8 years of demonstrated experience in food or other FMCG industry
• Available from September onwards for a period of 6 months
• Strong proficiency in both Dutch and English

Candidates with other relevant strong experience will be considered.Required competencies and capabilities

• Confident in handling a broad range of legal matters where both legal expertise and commercial pragmatism will be invaluable.
• Excellent work management skills and legal judgment with the capacity to make decisions and give advice that reflects an understanding of overall business objectives and the risks/rewards of each situation.
• Strong research and drafting skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a non-legal audience, both orally and in writing.
• Proactive self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal direction and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment that requires management of multiple projects simultaneously whilst also being a standout colleague.
• Ability to deliver quality, commercial solutions under pressure, balancing multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Curiosity about cross-functional working, being able to build relationships and influence across all levels within the organization.
