• Legal Advisory: Provide comprehensive legal advice on banking law issues, particularly for trade finance transactions, including drafting and reviewing facility documentation, local and foreign law security documentation (e.g., guarantees, letters of credit, deeds of pledge), and other finance-related agreements.
• Transaction Management: Assist in structuring and negotiating deals, mitigating legal risks, and ensuring smooth transaction processes.
• Coordination with External Partners: Manage legal aspects of trade finance deals, collaborating with external law firms and stakeholders to ensure timely and effective closings.
• Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in laws and regulations affecting the bank’s operations, advising on compliance with both national and EU financial regulations, particularly given the bank’s supervision by the ECB.
• Internal Support: Provide legal guidance to internal departments such as Risk Management, Finance, and Compliance, handling regulatory inquiries and advising on prudential supervision matters.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with teams across the organization to align on regulatory and supervision strategies, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, with a focus on banking & finance. Experience at a reputational law firm and/or in-house at an international bank or a financial institution is highly desirable.
• Experience in the prudential supervision of significant banks, with strong knowledge of EU financial regulations such as MiFID II/MiFIR, CRD/CRR, SSM Regulation, BRRD, PSD2, IPR, EMIR; as well as Dutch legislation and regulations such as the Wft. Experience with cross-border transactions is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of banking products and services, primarily trade & commodity finance transactions, as well as syndicated lending, FI transactions, treasury & capital markets products.
• Proficiency in LMA standard loan and ancillary documentation. Having experience in ISDA & GMRA documentation is a major plus.
• Degree in Law (graduate of a Dutch university, being a Dutch-qualified lawyer is a plus)
• Having Dutch native/bilingual language skills, English full professional is a must for this role. Turkish is also preferable.

Education:Law degree from a recognized institution. Dutch qualification is a plus.What we offer.
