The adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA.ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAMWe are seeking a Legal Counsel to play a crucial role in the growth of the SITA Aircraft business unit. This role, as part of our legal team, is a hands-on position dedicated to driving supplier and customer deals to their successful conclusion. It requires a strong commitment to understanding the broader business context and direction, while delivering actionable advice. - Be a key player in supporting our commercial teams in the deal shaping, drafting, review and negotiation of various terms and conditions, agreements, and contracts covering diverse stakeholders and products.
- Contribute to our product teams by securing supply chain needs (data suppliers, contractors, partnership, etc.) maintain documentation readiness, and stay abreast of advancements in aviation technology.
- Leverage your exceptional communication skills to maintain operational integrity and foster a collaborative environment in ensuring adherence to business processes by engaging with stakeholders, effectively communicating rules, and monitoring compliance.
- Act as a bridge to the broader group legal function, leveraging specialized legal experts in areas such as trade sanctions, compliance and ethics, corporate legal, regulatory, M&A, litigation, and IPR, fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration beyond the aircraft business unit.
- Collaborate closely with business leads and other stakeholders, simplifying legal concepts and risk factors for decision makers, to ensure clear understanding and informed decision-making.
- Serve as the primary contact for lease agreements, certificates of insurance, and incident reports, ensuring seamless communication and expert handling of these critical matters to streamline processes.
QualificationsABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Qualified Lawyer (LLM) in the EU or another relevant jurisdiction.
- At least 5 years of post-qualified commercial legal experience in a law firm or inhouse B2B organisation.
- Confident and experienced in working with common law and statutory law.
- International experience providing a good understanding of diverse legal frameworks.
- Experience in managing matters hands-on as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Ability to work autonomously as part of a remote team, make judgment calls, give practical and actionable advice and to lead contract projects.
- Comfortable taking initiative in a fast-paced, changeable environments.
- Focused on enabling the organization with a mindset of risk mitigation, rather than risk aversion.
- Skilled in building sustainable and successful relationships by acting proactively and in a customer-centric way.
- Embraces uncertainty and displays a high level of adaptability.
- Willing to learn and open to accepting feedback, generously giving their own in return.
- Fully fluent in English, with strong written, drafting, and spoken communication skills.

- Experience in Air Travel or Telecommunication industry.
- Spanish is considered a strong plus.
