As a Lecturer – Mechanical Engineering you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

• Teaching and developing a range of Mechanical Engineering subjects to include Engineering Mathematics, Mechanical Principles and Heat Transfer. Ability to teach CAD, CNC and/or Pneumatics and Hydraulics would be an advantage
• Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels
• Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential
• Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience
• Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
• Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

About you:

• Degree/HND in a relevant Engineering discipline
• Certificate in Education or equivalent in line with the Statutory Instrument or willingness to achieve
• English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year
• Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
• Responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and for raising any concerns
