45 days annual leave, plus bank holidays, Teachers Pension, Retail and leisure discountsAbout the role:We are seeking a Lecturer who is a committed individual and has the vision and skill to make a substantial contribution to developing the curriculum of Sport, Public Services and Travel. As Lecturer you will play a pivotal role in the success of the students through:

• Preparing, delivering and assessing subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
• Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
• Managing students’ learning and provide a high-quality learning experience.
• Undertaking course administration as necessary.
• Contributing pro-actively to developments within the Programme Area regarding curriculum and innovative teaching.
• Participating in marketing and promotion activities for the Programme Area.

About you:

• Degree in Sport or a related subject
• Level 2 qualification in maths and English
• Certificate in Education or equivalent or willingness to work towards
• Successful experience of providing training, assessing and/or education to young people and/or adults
• Up to date industry standard vocational skills and commitment to continue to maintain them
• Skills to teach across a range of related vocational areas, and across learner levels
• Data analysis skills
• Recent experience of working in the relevant industries
• Experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
• Ability to make a positive contribution to the team, valuing and respecting others’ expertise and contribution
• Ability to communicate effectively and confidently face to face, on the telephone and in writing
• Ability to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and work effectively to deadlines
