JOB VACANCIESINTERNAL & EXTERNALLecturer in Practical Mechanical EngineeringPermanentFull Time, 35 hrs per weekSalary: £40,170 – £48,357 per annum (Candidates holding TQFE will commence on £46,310 per annum)City of Glasgow College is currently recruiting for a Lecturer in Practical Mechanical Engineering within the Faculty of Nautical and STEM. The role involves delivery and assessment of practical and theoretical subjects at SVQ levels 2 and 3. This includes mechanical and manufacturing vocational subjects, fabrication, welding, turning operations, hand-fitting skills, and mechanical plant maintenance. Industrial vocational experience in one or more of these specialisms is essential.As a professional member of the lecturing staff of the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, you will be responsible for accessible, modern, innovative, and fit-for-purpose learning and teaching packages as well supporting individual programme students throughout their learning journey.Applicants must have a qualification to SCQF level 7 in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering subject. A teaching qualification and/or relevant experience would be advantageous as would L&D9 and 11 for assessing and verification.We are looking for a self-motivated, reliable candidate who has a desire to teach. You should possess effective interpersonal skills.
