This project has a commitment to integrate, as a core elective in every undergraduate programme, professionally relevant work experience that, in the short-term, will support the key skills development of City students, re-align their career focus and in the long term contribute to increasing in graduate outcomes. Within the School of Policy and Global affairs, this plan is implemented by designing new modules that, amongst other things, provide interdisciplinary Professional Level Experience to undergraduate and postgraduate students.ResponsibilitiesThe appointed candidate will oversee the implementation of City’s Employability Development Plan in the School of Policy and Global Affairs. The post-holder will be working closely with the Associate Dean for Engagement, Employability and Enterprise to ensure successful embedding of Professional Level Experience within the curriculum. They will design, develop and deliver the employability-related modules across the school, lead corporate engagement initiatives and liaise with City’s careers.Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with relevant professional experience with interest and/or experience in HE education or an academic candidate with a keen interest in the teaching of employability skills.
