College of Social SciencesGrade/Pay Scale: UofG Grade 7/8, £ 39,347 – £ 44,263 / £48,350 – £56,021 per annum.The University of Glasgow is seeking to appoint 2 x Lecturers in Education Studies (LTS track) within the School of Education.The postholder will contribute to the delivery of an excellent student experience by contributing to teaching, assessment and administration processes associated with the MSc/MEd in Education Studies and to undertake scholarship to enhance learning and teaching in the School of Education. For appointment at Grade 8 a substantial contribution will include delivering, organising, and reviewing these processes in line with school strategic objectives.The MSc/MEd in Education Studies is the largest post-graduate taught programme in Education at the University of Glasgow. The programme is designed to deepen understanding of education and enable graduates to critically analyse education practice, provisions and policy in their own current or future professional context. This broad area of education involves intellectually rigorous study of educational processes, systems and approaches, and the cultural, societal, political and historical contexts within which they are embedded.This appointment is suitable for individuals with expertise from diverse areas of education or a broad knowledge across several themes of educational scholarship and practice.
