Role: Lecturer – Electrical ApprenticeshipsLocation: Corby CampusSalary/Benefits: Salary from £31,000 DOE and Qualifications, 45 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, Teachers pension, Retail and Leisure Discounts, excellent professional and personal development opportunities, accessing college courses.Working Pattern: 37hrs per week (1.0 FTE)Contract Type: Permanent – Full TimeAbout the role:We are currently seeking an Electrical Apprenticeships Lecturer to join The Bedford College Group at our Corby Campus.As an Electrical Apprenticeships Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:

• Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
• Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
• Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience.
• Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
• Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

About you:Ideal candidates will have:

• Level 3 NVQ qualification in Electrical Installation (2357/5357 or equivalent)
• Has completed AM2/AM2S or equivalent
• Either the Certificate in Education or equivalent or Assessor Award
• GCSE Maths and English grade A-C or equivalent
• Willingness to achieve IQA award or similar IQA qualification
• Either recent experience of working in UK Electrotechnical industry OR recent experience of teaching and assessing on a range of programmes and levels.
• Knowledge of the current developments in UK Building Services
• Evidence of understanding how to promote equality and diversity within the job role
• Ability to make a positive contribution to the team, valuing and respecting others’ expertise and contribution
• Willingness to work at all locations where Bedford College provide a service
