About Us:A delightful Catholic Infant school in Burnt Oak are looking for a dedicated and supportive learning support assistant to join their Year 2 classroom. This lovely school is committed to nurturing both, the academic and personal growth of every child, ensuring they receive the individualized attention they need to thrive.Role Overview:We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant/Learning Support Assistant to provide 1-1 support for a child in Year 2 with global developmental delay. This role is essential in helping the student with phonics, literacy, and numeracy, as well as maintaining focus and staying on task during class activities.Key Responsibilities: * Provide 1-1 support to a Year 2 student with global developmental delay.

• Assist with phonics, literacy, and numeracy tasks.
• Help the child maintain focus and stay on task in class.
• Implement individualized learning strategies to support the child’s academic progress.
• Collaborate with teachers and SEN coordinators to develop and implement effective support plans.
• Monitor and report on the child’s progress and development.
• Ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience: * Previous experience working with children in Reception/KS1 is highly desirable.

• Proven experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• A valid Child Workforce DBS on the update service is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
