We have various hours available, please detail your availability in your application form.The information below provides more detail about the role and you may also wish to learn a little more about working for South Hampshire College Group by viewing the below video.We offer great benefits including;Employer pension contribution of 27.1%.Regular training and development.Duties:Delivering 1:1 support in the classroom with the possibility of small group support.Provision of appropriate additional learning support to learners with learning difficulties and disabilities.Achievement of learning outcomes, by learners receiving additional learning support, as detailed in individual learning plans.Good communication between learning support and curriculum staff resulting in seamless additional learning support delivered to all entitled learners in the most appropriate manner and location.Skills/experience:You will have experience or the potential to become an outstanding learning support assistant.Experience of supporting individuals to achieve their goals.Well organised and hold an excellent range of communication skills.Knowledge of Microsoft IT packages.Qualifications:Minimum GCSE grade 4 / C in English & Maths or equivalent.Level 2 NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent desirable.Ideal attributes of applicant:You will be comfortable talking and engaging with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.Be a highly organised, collaborative and enthusiastic team player.You will have a keen interest in our industry and willing to undergo further training and development.You will be ambitious and want to drive to maintain our high standards.You are ambitious, professional, respectful and resilient, thriving in a high trust and high performance culture.You can make a significant contribution in our mission to provide excellence and opportunity in both technical and professional education, training and apprenticeships.We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role.
