The role works closely with the Learning Manager to partner with operations to ensure our customers’ needs are met.An Amazon Fulfilment Centre (FC) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAKPoAn2cB0 is a dynamic and challenging environment. Developing our people is at the heart of what we do and is needed now more than ever as we are experiencing rapid growth and we plan to keep on growing.Key job responsibilities● Ensure that new starters, and current Amazonians learning new skills, quickly develop the knowledge and ability to settle in and become experts at what they do
● Lead, manage and coach your team of Trainers to be the best they can be. Understand what motivates your team, support them to develop a career plan and actively support them to achieve it.
● Take a data driven approach to understanding performance issues. Take action to improve the quality and effectiveness of training and coaching at your site. Build relationships and influence your site leadership team colleagues to address issues that inhibit effective learning.
● Partner with different stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve the quality of training and coaching. Lead projects (with support from your EU colleagues) to continuously improve the design of training materials and coaching interventions.
● Support the delivery of local and EU wide projects to improve how the site operates. Identify any additional training materials and ‘train your Trainers’ in new processes/changes to existing processes.
● Provide a safe learning environment. Partner with Human Resources, Health & Safety and Engineering colleagues to ensure all compliance and safety training is delivered within the agreed timescales.
● Recruit and train the best ‘instructors’ from within our Amazon community to deliver training and coaching.

As a Learning Specialist, your role centres on a range of key responsibilities crucial for our organisation’s growth and success. You’ll be responsible for team management, business analysis, data interpretation, daily team meetings, project oversight for strategy implementation, and risk mitigation.

Your day-to-day routine will be dynamic, with active participation in various meetings, including our “Daily Dive Deep” sessions, stakeholder calls (such as Assumptions, Labour Planning, Quality, and Safety discussions), and one-on-one meetings with essential stakeholders. You will also play a pivotal role in PIT governance, overseeing aspects like capacity management, trainer certification, content enhancement, and project management.Besides these critical tasks, you’ll be responsible for team organisation, training coordination, and administrative duties. This includes reviewing resumes, interviewing, and providing valuable feedback during trainer interactions. You’ll actively contribute to project initiatives, manage non-routine tasks, and prioritise your personal development through ongoing training opportunities.”BASIC QUALIFICATIONSTo be considered for this role, you must have:
● A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
● Verbal and written fluency in both Spanish and English
● Managed and developed a team, and achieved collective success
● Data skills and the ability to understand how Learning’s activities and responsibilities play into the metrics that drive how the site is managed
● Full proficiency in Excel and MS Office packages.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS● Operations professionals with a proven track record in complex manufacturing/production environments. They have an understanding of ‘standard work’ and ‘lean principles’
