The University of Law is looking for our first ever Learning & Development Partner to join us at an exciting time for colleague professional development as we launch a new Leadership & Management development offer, a demand responsive transferable skills offer, and extend our technical qualifications via apprenticeships.Reporting to the Head of Organisational Development, you will be instrumental in the design and delivery of our colleague development offers and provide consultative L&D support for strategic priorities. As we work towards our Investors in People accreditation, your role will be pivotal in nurturing an effective learning culture at ULaw, developing our 450+ people managers to be effective leaders, and embedding the University’s values to support the development of a high-performance environment for our 1400+ colleagues.We are looking for an experienced and passionate L&D partner who thrives on colleague interaction – you will spend your weeks facilitating inspiring and impactful workshops, engaging online learning communities, and collaborating on L&D projects with stakeholders across our organisation.The role will be working remotely (from a UK location).As our Learning & Development Partner, you will:

  • Design and deliver impactful learning and development initiatives based on industry good practice (such as a focus on 70:20:10 learning model and transfer of learning).
  • Lead the design and delivery of our transferable skills development offer for our 1400+ colleagues
  • Lead on the design and delivery of our Leadership Development offer, based on the Chartered Management Institute competency framework, for our 450+ managers.
  • Use your expertise to support the effectiveness of technical skills training across Business Professional departments
  • Be a passionate advocate for the benefits of self-led learning and development
  • Manage the ULaw induction for new starters
  • Ensure both the design and rollout of organisational compliance training is effective and efficient

We are looking for people who are/have:

  • CIPD qualified to level 7 or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Substantial experience of delivering blended learning and development solutions to support organisational objectives
  • Experience developing and managing effective digital learning solutions
  • Experience developing and managing effective collaborative learning solutions
  • Professional coaching – both as a coach and development others
  • Excellent L&D design and delivery skills with extensive knowledge of leadership development, including both theory and practice of people management
