The overall IHQ & NL talent team is responsible for Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning & Development (L&D), and employability for our Global HQ (IHQ) and our NL entity.An incredibly diverse team that helps each other learn, grow and develop. Just how we like it! As a Learning & Development Manager IHQ & NL you will be asked to develop and implement a IHQ & NL talent Learning & Development strategy to promote a high performing workforce with the capabilities needed now and in the future. But also you will be the subject matter expert and will work closely with your HR, Business and Global and Regional L&D colleagues.For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. Know that you’ll have a crucial role in creating and protecting the impact we look for in our value chain. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:

  • Develop and implement an IHQ & NL talent development strategy to promote a high performing workforce with the capabilities needed now and in the future.
  • Develop strong connections and work closely with the Global Talent COE and Regions Talent COE’s. As well share and learn best practice with L&D managers from other regions/countries.
  • Develop, implement, and deliver programs which effectively support and enhance strategic objectives and reinforce the companies mission and culture.
  • Provide input to the Global Talent team to ensure regional needs are recognized and considered in global program’s.
  • Work closely with the HR team and Managers throughout NL & IHQ to identify talent requirements.
  • Serve as an internal consultant to the business on talent and development topics.
  • Stay updated on trends in learning and talent management and continuously develop knowledge base of concepts, models and approaches.
  • Creatively design and deliver modern learning program’s and experiences in a variety of formats including self-directed, instructor-led, digital, networking, mentoring, integrated to the flow of work, ‘train the trainer’ and blended approaches.
  • Initiating and leading projects for improving processes, tool and systems for learning & development as well being part of Global/Regional projects.
  • Assessing the success of development initiatives to drive improvement in key L&D metrics
  • Provide on-going reporting and data on training uptake, knowledge transfer, associate learning experience, business impact and return on investment to inform decision making.

QualificationsWe are looking for someone with a drive for excellence. Someone that holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role we feel it’s important for you to have a certain level of strong L&D expertise as well as a solid understanding of your own added value. We thrive in diverse teams and look for people that appreciate that as much as we do. We can give you a list of “must haves,” however that’s not how we view your candidacy. We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have with Learning & Development and in which context but ultimately, we look at the bigger picture. But to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:

  • 10 years + of experience in HR, mainly in L&D;
  • Worked within an international/regional/local environment;
  • Experience in working in a complex matrix organization and served a wide population from executive/white/blue color;
  • Knowledge of the talent process like Performance evaluation, Talent Management and Succession Planning;
  • Strong Project Management skills;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Can-do mentality and result driven;
  • Excellent intercultural and stakeholder management skills;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
