Our mission is to transform lives through learning, advocating for inclusivity and diversity at every step.About the RoleAs a Learner Support Assistant, you’ll work with some of the most inspirational students in the college to help break down barriers in their learning while supporting teaching and learning both in and out of the classroom to ensure all students have access to quality education! In this rewarding and varied role, you’ll play a key role in monitoring students’ development, progress and achievement.You’ll work closely with the teachers & tutorial mentors to ensure students are positively engaged in learning, stretched, challenged and supported to reach their full potential and achieve their goals while enjoying their time in college. You may also be required to support students at break and lunchtimes, as well as welcome them into college each morning and assist with accessing transport at the end of the day. - Supporting learners across a wide and varied range of curriculum areas and subjects.
- Supporting learners with a wide range of additional learning needs, disabilities and barriers to learning.
- Working closely with learners to be fully engaged in the college community.
- Working together with colleagues to become an integral part of the Additional Learning Support Team.
- Potentially providing intimate support and personal care for high-needs students To ensure the safeguarding of all learners
