Job description

We are looking for a Lean/Factory of the Future manager who can inspire and lead our site from a traditional manufacturing approach to a world class culture of continuous improvement.You are to implement the ROCKWOOL Operational Excellence (ROPEX) strategy for ROCKWOOL Nordic in conjunction with the site management team, our five ROPEX Core teams and other stakeholders through training, development, and coaching. As a ROPEX manager, you will become part of a global ROPEX community and work closely together with the regional ROPEX responsible.You are also our local project manager on our Factory of the Future journey which aims at automizing the site relieving our colleagues from manual labor, increasing the technical skill levels, and making ROCKWOOL more robust in the future where manpower will be less available.Key responsibilities and activities include, but is not limited to:

  • Drive and supervise projects linked to our factory of the future journey.
  • Establish KPIs and follow-up on the portfolio of projects in ROPEX and Factory of the Future together with our finance business partner.
  • Drive, manage, and develop the ROPEX program to deliver tangible business results.
  • Cultivate a robust continuous improvement culture at the factory by ensuring involvement in ROPEX across all layers of the organization and coaching management to uphold this culture.
  • Facilitate the annual strategy and policy deployment process within the management team.
  • Responsible for establishing and mentoring the 5 ROPEX Core teams at the factory to ensure that the ROPEX tools are embedded into the operations organization and processes.
  • Implement and develop standardized processes and share them with other ROCKWOOL sites.
  • Establish and develop Lean Leadership and performance management as a strong discipline.
  • Plan and conduct training in Lean/ROPEX tools as needed to ensure continuous improvement becomes a natural part of everyday life in the factory.
  • Plan, facilitate and follow up on Kaizen activities.

Personal qualities:The Lean/ROPEX Manager needs to be passionate about Operational Excellence, Lean and Continuous Improvement and be able to inspire the same passion in others. The Lean/ROPEX Manager should be an exceptional influencer and change agent with a high degree of resilience. Excellent communication and project management skills as well as the ability to learn and adapt, are essential.
