We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for engine and mechanical transmissions applied to both civil and military aviation (i.e., accessory drivetrains, engine thermal management, turboprop & helicopter reduction gearboxes, etc.).Process and quality improvement roles Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesBe partner of business Leader in the Lean transformation journeyDrive & foster a Continuous improvement culture, where the whole team owns transformation planLead complex & inter-functional improvement projects with a goal of enhanced performanceConstantly seek, share, and implement best practicesProvide leadership and direction to cross-functional team empowered to execute the Lean strategy for process improvementAbility to document current and plan for future Value Stream Map, presents projects plans, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior business leadersCommunicates solutions across the own function and with cross-functional partner organizationsFacilitate, train, and coach other team members in the use of Lean toolsWill be GEAPS advocate in the Area assigned, in order to drive adoption & cultural evolutionQualifications/RequirementsMaster’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Management or Industrial EngineeringProven experience in operational or technical roles in a complex manufacturing environmentDeep understanding of manufacturing processesDemonstrated ability to analyze and use the Problem Solving ApproachDeep knowledge and application on Lean Manufacturing Methodology and toolsStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong relationship & leadership skills: able to influence, motivate and work effectively within a matrix environmentFluency in Italian and EnglishWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired characteristicsAbility to document, plan, market, and execute programsPrevious experience in Lean ManufacturingBlack Belt CertificationWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
