At Siemens Gamesa, we are constantly seeking talented individuals to join our team and support our focus on energy transformation.Find out how you can make a difference at Siemens Gamesa: .We are looking for a Lead Supply Manager Tools & Equipment to join our global Offshore Execution Equipment Management (EQM) team, to operationally lead our team of dedicated Supply Managers for Tools & Equipment.The OF EXE EQM team is responsible for on time, on quality and on budget delivery of tools, transport and installation equipment to our global offshore execution project portfolio, internal blade and nacelle factories and our tower vendors.How to contribute to our visionAs the Lead Supply Manager Tools & Equipment, you operationally manage the team of dedicated Supply Managers, to ensure on-time purchasing of required equipment to fulfill demand from offshore execution projects, service, internal nacelle / blade factories and external tower vendors.More specifically your key tasks will include – but are not limited – to:

  • Operationally manage the team of Supply Managers for Tools & Equipment, by setting the direction in terms of operational management.
  • Ensure coordination of purchasing activities within EQM and beyond with key stakeholders, i.e., project procurement
  • Actively manage the purchasing of tools & equipment, supporting on-time supply of tools and equipment to execution projects / service and transport equipment to offshore factories and tower vendors.
  • Creation and follow up on purchasing orders towards suppliers to ensure on time delivery to warehouses globally.
  • Responsible for KPI fulfillment for defined purchasing KPIs.
  • Participate in Commodity strategies implementation projects to ensure long-term, cost-efficient supply of materials.
  • Generate, document, and implement savings to contribute to the success of the business and make results transparent.
  • Ensure a close cooperation with Internal Customers to ensure customer care and early involvement.
  • Identify and drive process improvements in the purchasing process for tools & equipment.

What you need to make a difference

  • We need a motivated team player, self-driven, structured with excellent communication skills and very strong sense of ownership.
  • Leadership skills, either displayed by first line management exposure or in managing cross-functional project teams.
  • 5-7 years of experience within logistics, procurement or purchasing.
  • Experience in communication with suppliers and strong negotiation skills.
  • You know how to plan and prioritize the tasks assigned to you and the purchasing team.
  • You are motivated by providing top quality results within the deadlines and are happy to work in a dynamic organization and environment.
  • You should be curious, having a continuous learning mindset and strive to contribute to the organizations’ development.
  • Furthermore, it is essential that you have an analytical mind and can leverage your extensive knowledge of O365 (especially Excel) and ERP. Our ERP is SAP S/4HANA; hence knowledge and experience in it is preferable.
  • You must thrive in a multi-cultural environment and be familiar with working in large organizations.
  • It is therefore important that you have excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
