We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.In the Commodity of Forging and Raw Material the Lead Supplier Quality Engineer will ensure deliveries consistently meeting all customers’ quality and regulatory requirements and lead preventive enhancement initiatives to supplier manufacturing processes.Job DescriptionEssential ResponsibilitiesActively participate to sourcing and industrialization processes to achieve the target of zero Customer DefectsLead with sourcing and product engineering preventive assessment of design to manufacturingEnsure that quality is consistently flexible and able to react to changing demandsProvide engineering support to supplier manufacturing process ensuring consistent application of quality techniques to resolve quality issues of capability, tolerancing and materials by leading the implementation of action plans and providing resourcesLead supplier eligibility assessment, readiness review and surveillance auditsLead APQP ensuring that PPAP are approved on-site when it is requiredHandle daily shop issues related to supplied parts by identification & containment of non-compliancesLead with all the related stakeholders all problem-solving events to contain internal scraps and supplier escapes, find root cause and corrective action, make the risk assessment and standardize through the Lesson Learnt/FMEALead risk assessment (e.g. PFMEA, PQA, etc) to ensure the compliance to product/process/system quality requirementsDetermine improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to sustain manufacturing processes to adhere to standard requirements and prevent occurrence of any non-conformity related to product, process or systemQualification/RequirementsMaster’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Chemical/Materials Engineering or Chemistry/Material SciencePrevious and proven experience in driving quality assurance and control in Industrial/Automotive industry/Steel Mill Manufacturer/Forging/Casting/Foundries or Heat Treatment and strong experience in Quality/Manufacturing rolesStrong knowledge in Material analysis techniquesBasic Knowledge of GD&TProven experience with main quality tools (i.e. PDCA, Ishikawa diagram/3×5 Why/Process Flow Diagram/Process Flow Chart, Production Control Plan/FMEA, APQP/PPAP, SPC/Run Charts, MSA)Fluent Italian and English, both spoken and writtenWillingness to travel at least 50% of the timeWork Visa in accordance with local regulation is requiredDesired CharacteristicsMotivation, focus on delivering qualityStrong analytic problem-solving mindsetHumble, transparent, open minded and teamworkWhat we offerSmart working and work life-balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
