As a Lead Software Engineer in one of our product teams, you will work alongside very experienced engineers, product managers and UX designers, using Ruby on Rails, Python, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes to build the next generation of our Vendor Experience, helping software vendors achieve their goals with our platform.Why you’ll want to come to work:Deliver high-quality, innovative, and scalable technical solutions that make a tangible impact.Support critical systems for Gartner Digital Markets’ vendor experience, using event-driven services-oriented architectures, contributing to our growth and success.Engage in hands-on development, championing thoughtful code reviews and architectural insights that elevate our projects.Take the lead in designing, developing, testing, and supporting applications and services using cutting-edge technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Python, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Click house.Embrace Agile Development methodologies, fostering an environment of collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement.What you’ll bring to the team:Must have:Extensive Experience: You have 6+ years of enterprise software engineering under your belt, showcasing your ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver robust solutions.Ruby on Rails or Python Mastery : With 5+ years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails or Python at a production level, you are a seasoned developer ready to hit the ground running. You’ve worked on various large-scale applications using these technologies, demonstrating your ability to deliver robust and scalable solutions. Pls note, you should be comfortable with upskilling yourself on Ruby on Rails post joining.Test-Driven Development (TDD): You are committed to writing thoroughly tested code and ensuring your code is reliable, maintainable, and bug-free from the start.Nice to have/opportunity to learn (depending on the team):Message Queue / Event-driven architecture Savvy: Ideally, you are well-versed in Kafka or have significant experience with other message queue systems like RabbitMQ or SQS. This knowledge will help enable seamless data flow and communication in our applications, but it is not a strict requirement.Containerization Proficiency: You have a solid grasp of Docker, both in local development and production environments, ensuring consistency and reliability across all stages of deployment.Kubernetes Expertise : While not mandatory, having production-level experience with Kubernetes is a significant advantage.Don’t meet every single requirement?
