Our Engineering Transformation team work to improve the quality of our Engineering processes.Partner with the best!As a Manufacturability Engineer you will assure Manufacturability of all the critical components in accordance with program schedule as well as costs, quality, reliability, and performance requirements, covering a bridging role between Engineering and Supply Chain functions.
You will look at the product from a systemic perspective taking care of influencing design decisions considering all the producibility aspects and cost competitiveness.
You will support the new technology transition towards the supply chain, and you will lead the industrialization of newly launched products.As a Manufacturability Engineer you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the Innovation Engineering and Product Development teams in translating product requirements into producibility features, leveraging on new technology introduction and facilitating the assessment on materials
- Assessing manufacturing capabilities helping the team to make technical choices, taking advantage of Innovation labs and materials disciplines capabilities
- Approving preliminary designs or recommending modifications based on cost constrains, knowledge of main conventional and unconventional manufacturing technology processes and their related capabilities
- Leveraging on the technology experts to define the preliminary manufacturing process sequence and assessing the associated cost
- Supporting the execution of all the laboratory operations on prototypes and/or mockups needed for product, system, sub-system and component validations
- Supporting all Cost Out Initiatives (from Manufacturability standpoint) impacting industrialization of all new products
Required QualificationsTo be successful in this role you will need to have:
- Have a degree from an accredited University in Mechanical Engineering, Management or Industrial Engineering, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or in Science, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematic
- Have up to 5 years of work experience in an Engineering or Supply Chain role in an Industrial Environment with specific experience in product design or manufacturing/technology
- Have prior experience with specific focus on managing complex technical projects and/or developing new products or technologies
- Have professional proficiency in English and Italian and proven working experience in a global environment
- Have problem-solving attitude to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Have good interpersonal capabilities, empathy, influencing abilities and good presentation and decision-making skills
- Have a positive attitude, teamwork capabilities, ambition and passion for performance
- Have EU Work Permit
Desired qualificationFollowing characteristics will be considered as a plus in selection process:
- Have MsC in Engineering
- Have proven experience with Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement tools; Six sigma Green Belt Certification
- Have good systems thinking capabilities and Project Management skills
