We have a current opportunity for an Executive Reward Lead on a permanent basis. The position will be based in Amsterdam / Rotterdam. For further information about this position please apply.Position Overview:As the Lead Executive Rewards at our listed Dutch company, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the compensation strategy for our executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the Head of Reward, you will be responsible for overseeing three critical areas: Board remuneration, Executive remuneration, and Pensions. Your expertise will ensure alignment between compensation practices and business objectives while adhering to regulatory requirements and promoting fairness and transparency.Key Responsibilities:Board Remuneration:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive board remuneration strategy aligned with corporate governance principles, regulatory guidelines, and shareholder interests.
  • Conduct benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitive and equitable board compensation packages.
  • Prepare Remuneration Committee meetings, including documentation.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Management to review and approve board compensation structures, including base salary, bonuses, and equity incentives.
  • Provide guidance on governance matters related to board compensation disclosures in annual reports and proxy statements.

Executive Remuneration:

  • Design and manage executive compensation programs to attract, retain, and motivate top talent while aligning with business objectives and performance goals.
  • Lead the annual executive compensation review process, including performance evaluations, incentive plan assessments, and salary adjustments.
  • Partner with senior leadership and HR teams to communicate compensation policies, practices, and philosophies effectively.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market practices, and regulatory changes to ensure competitiveness and compliance in executive pay programs.

Pensions

  • Subject matter expert for the our clients pension plan, arrangements and first line of contact for our KPN pension plan.
  • Representing our client in our (closed) legacy pensionplans in UK and US.

Additional

  • Liaise with the rewards team to further modernize and innovate rewards proposition for all employees.

Qualifications:

  • Higher degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compensation Professional) preferred.
  • Connecting and inspiring professional and leader.
  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in executive compensation, preferably in a multinational or listed company environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of executive compensation principles, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance practices, particularly in the Netherlands.
  • Strong strategic and conceptual skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, conduct benchmarking studies, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion.
