These academic partners are recognised as global leaders in disciplines across the Arts and Humanities, and together, through LAHP, deliver outstanding doctoral supervision and research training to AHRC-funded postgraduate students. In addition to the eight core HEI partners, LAHP has six core non-HEI Partners.LAHP’s training programme offers a training environment open to approximately 2,300
research students across the consortium’s partners. LAHP’s training framework and
studentship allocation mechanism is based around the AHRC’s three interdisciplinary
primary research areas: Histories, Cultures and Heritage, Creative and Performing Arts,
and Languages and Literature. LAHP offers up to 90 funded studentships per annum
across the partnership including Collaborative Doctoral Awards (CDAs).About the roleWe are recruiting a LAHP Support Officer to join our team on an internal secondment/FTC basis until 10th October 2025. This role is open for applications to internal UCL staff only.The LAHP Support Officer will work closely with the LAHP Senior Support Officer and LAHP DTP Manager at UCL, and with colleagues in the LAHP partner institutions, to assist in administrative processes associated with the activities of the Doctoral Training Programme. You will support the Open Studentship Competition 2025/26 by managing the application process via the online portal (Flexigrant), preparing applications and material for the various assessment panels, completing eligibility checks with LAHP’s partner institutions and issuing award letters.You will also manage the LAHP training programme, provide committee support, manage the LAHP shared inbox and process student expense claims.

About youTo be successful in this role, you should have experience coordinating application processes and programme administration, as well as servicing committees, including minute-taking. You should also have experience of financial administration tasks, such as processing expenses and invoices.You have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and are able engage confidently with external stakeholders. Your excellent organisational skills and ability to work independently allow you to prioritise tasks effectively, managing multiple deadlines with ease. You have excellent IT skills including MS Office and work methodically, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining a high standard of service.Experience in coordinating the delivery of a training programme would be advantageous, but is not essential.What we offerAs well as the exciting opportunities this role presents we also offer some great benefits some of which are below:
