We are seeking a talented and motivated colleague to join our Biophysics and Injectable Formulation team, to cover a parental leave. Someone who shares our ambition to develop the next generation of pharmaceuticals.  

 

Your new role

In this lab-based role, you will work with a wide variety of state-of-the-art biophysical characterisation methods to determine protein stability. You will prepare liquid peptide formulations and bring scientific study plans to life through precise, high-quality experimental work.

About the department

The Biophysics and Injectable Formulation research area consists of three departments that share biophysical characterisation of biomolecules and injectable formulation development as core tasks. We house a broad portfolio of state-of-the-art biophysical instrumentation and automation. We are part of the Drug Product Research unit that is overall responsible for early injectable and oral formulation development and analyses of peptides, proteins, and new modalities across the entire Novo Nordisk research portfolio.

Your tasks will include:

-Preparing liquid peptide formulations and characterising them using light scattering, chromatography, SAXS and other advanced methods
-Conducting experiments based on study plans developed with scientists in the department
-Performing initial data processing of results
 

Your skills & Qualifications

We are looking for a dedicated Laboratory Technician who takes pride in delivering excellent results and thrives in a collaborative laboratory environment. You’ll bring with you:

-Education as a laboratory technician
-Hands-on experience within either biophysics or injectable formulation development of pharmaceuticals.
-Work experience within Pharma R&D is considered an advantage
-Experience in small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) is considered an advantage.
 

As a person, you are dedicated, engaged, take initiative, and work independently while at the same time being a team player and willing to learn new methods and processes. You work diligently, are well organised, can communicate in English and take a pride in delivering the best results within agreed timelines.
