Offer Description
- Provide technical support for cleanroom equipment maintenance and installation.
- Serve as a responsible person for fabrication services, developing new fabrication processes and/or improve existing ones.
- Help attract new industrial, external and internal KU Leuven partners and users of the Core Facility, to secure the financial liability of the Core Facility.
- Manage the Core Facility’s accounting system.
- Maintain the website and logging system of the Core Facility.
- Be responsible for all safety- and health-related aspects of the cleanroom and the Core Facility, and be responsible for the training of all users in these aspects.
- Optionally, you can participate in outreach events such as tours and presentations at exhibitions and preparing advertisements in relevant journals/websites, both internal and external to the university, to promote the activities and capabilities of the Core Facility. Collaboration with the LIMNI manager is available as a supportive resource.

Eligibility criteriaIdeally, we are seeking a candidate who:
- Is interested in hands-on work with high-tech equipment.
- Holds a PhD degree (or equivalent experience in industry or an institute) with research centered around micro- and nanotechnology or semiconductor fabrication.
- Preferably has hands-on experience with tool interventions.
- Has experience in safety- and health-related management of high-tech equipment.
- Is a strong organizer and networker with meticulous attention to details and excellent management and planning skills.
- Can work both individually and as part of a team.
- Is fluent in English; proficiency in Dutch is preferred.
