Excellent CPD training offeredThe KS2 Teacher JobAre you looking to work at an OFSTED outstanding school with young pupils? We are seeking a KS2 Teacher specialising in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and severe learning difficulties in Southwark.In this rewarding KS2 Teacher role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom and will develop individualised learning plans that promote engagement, independence, social skills, literacy and numeracy skills, in which you will remain with the same class, providing consistency for yourself and the students.The successful KS2 Teacher applicant would be joining a fantastic community based school in Southwark for children with ASD/SLD The school provides a range of unique enabling environments, both indoor and outdoor, which are used to maximise learning opportunities and meet pupil’s specific needs.KS2 Teacher Key Responsibilities
– Develop and implement personalised educational programs
– Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational psychologists.
– Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
– Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as the secondary teacher in the classroom
– Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development at home and in school– Work with and lead a support team within the classroomKS2 Teacher Qualifications
– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
– Strong knowledge of SLD or working with young pupils with a diagnosis of ASD.
– Experience working in a special needs education setting is preferred.
