Offer DescriptionKeywords: Innovative production systems, Collaboration and human-machine interface, Sociotechnical systems, Industry 4.0 and 5.0, Systems engineering, digital twinThis recruitment of a Junior Professorship (CPJ) is fully in line with the development of the Université de Technologie de Tarbes en Occitanie (UTTOP), the fourth university of technology in France, recently created by the merger of the Ecole Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Tarbes (ENIT) and the Institut Universitaire de Technologie (IUT) de Tarbes. It will benefit from the momentum generated by the PIA “Excellences” NUTTeO program, which structures UTTOP’s resources and ambitions for the next ten years.In support of UTTOP’s development strategy, the CPJ is in line with the third societal challenge that the establishment has set itself: “Preparing for the industry of the future and supporting industrial transformation”. In this context, we are looking to recruit a Junior Professor to carry out research on themes linked to transitions and re-industrialization, in close collaboration with the skills of the Production Engineering Laboratory (LGP) and SHS researchers (LGTO, CERTOP).The person recruited will address the very heart of Industry 5.0, aiming to develop the technological tools for a sustainable, human-centered and resilient industry. By placing man-machine collaboration at the heart of the issue, Industry 5.0 is profoundly transforming production paradigms.The person recruited will have to lay the foundations for new skill blocks in existing engineering and Bachelor’s courses, as well as helping to develop an interdisciplinary Master’s offering combining industrial engineering and SHS. This latter offer should help to attract talent, be naturally open to the international students and fit in with the expansion of the offer and internationalization promoted by the NUTTeO project.A number of factors contribute to the establishment’s rich environment, which the new recruit will be able to take advantage of to develop his or her activity. On the one hand, a number of outstanding technical facilities support research projects in various fields: collaborative robotics, AI, Virtual Reality, Prognostics and Health Management, manufacturing processes and innovative production systems. In addition, a highly favorable local university ecosystem is organized around projects shared by variouslaboratories: LGP (UTTOP), LMDC (INSAT, UT3), ICA (IMT, INSAT, ISAE, UT3) and LCA Agromat (INRAE, INPT).UTTOP has placed this research theme at the heart of its CPER 2022-2027 investment plan, as part of the “Ecosystème de production” project, which has been allocated €1.2 million over the period 2022-2026. This research theme around the industry of the future is recognized through ANR projects and the Horizon program ; it has been the subject of numerous publications.Terms: 5-year contract – start date 01/12/2024 – Salary (~50k€/year gross) – Teaching load (64h to 96h per year) – no MCF qualification – ability to teach in english.Given the specific nature of the CPJ position, a strong commitment to setting up, monitoring, carrying out and managing national and international partnership projects (ANR, Europe, ERC) is expected.Initial experience in this field would be a plus.
