Job Description:Crowne Plaza Amsterdam-South is located in the Zuidas near the Rai. The Zuidas is becoming the most important business district in the Netherlands. With Schiphol Airport and the city centre just minutes away, it is one of the best-located hotels in Amsterdam for both business guests and tourists.The kitchen assistant (keukenhulp) performs supportive tasks (cleaning, dishwashing, restocking) and preparatory tasks (cutting/portioning products for mise en place) in the kitchen.Your day-to-day:

• Preparing various drinks, food items, and other necessities according to the prevailing hygiene standards (HACCP).
• Preparing (or pre-preparing) meals, sandwiches, and snacks.
• Assisting colleagues with preparatory and simple operational tasks.
• Checking and storing delivered orders.
• Restocking kitchen and canteen supplies from storage.
• Notifying necessary stock replenishments.
• Washing utensils, tools, and other kitchenware, and placing them hygienically in their proper locations.
• Collecting and disposing of waste.
• Setting up (support) equipment for colleagues.
• Cleaning the work environment.
• Serving individuals in a customer-friendly manner.
• Potentially replenishing the breakfast buffet.
• Maintaining contact with other departments (coordinating tasks).
• Being attentive to compliance with established rules regarding corporate and personal hygiene and work and presentation methods.
• Skillfully handling knives and operating kitchen equipment.

Job Requirements:

• MBO level 1-2.
• Experience in a kitchen environment.
• Ability to handle stress.
• Attention to detail.
• Capability to work independently.
• Ability to maintain oversight.
• Results-oriented.
• Good knowledge of the Dutch language.
• Hygienic practices.
• Hostmanship.
