- This position will work with the wider treasury function and will play a central role in the performance of the department. Collaborate closely with treasury, trade support, accounting and operations teams to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Controlling and ensuring the robustness of the treasury data. Detecting, flagging and coordinating with other departments across the business potential correction actions.
- Developing, implementing and managing a daily control over the P&L and balance sheet position of the company.
- Document and control of processes facilitating the audit processes.
- Perform reconciliations of the different balance sheet accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Compare and reconcile transactions between records from different internal systems.
- Help identify and resolve discrepancies in reconciliations, investigating and correcting errors under the supervision of a Senior Accountant.
- Provide regular reports on the status of reconciliations and identified issues.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change.
- Team player, fast learner, able to multitask and prioritise workload appropriately. We are looking for an individual with drive and passion.
- Previous experience (1 to 3 years experiences) in financial reconciliations, preferably in the treasury sector, working in the financial services industry in an auditing firm or as an accountant.
- Experience in a reconciliation function and/or an internal control department is a plus. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- High level in Microsoft Excel or GoogleSheet is a must.
- Flexibility with changing requirements in an evolving and fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to build and leverage cross-functional relationships. High level of English.
- Preferably experienced with financial accounting software, particularly NetSuite (Oracle ERP).
- Basic knowledge of financial products and/or investment processes, is a plus.
