With increasing expectations for transparency and advanced sustainability reporting, we are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable new colleague to join Nordzucker’s Sustainability team and support our sustainability reporting efforts.You can expect to become part of a modern business, with our feet planted solidly in the rich soil. Likewise, you will become part of the network- and project-groups, across both domestic and international departments.We guarantee a friendly and welcoming workplace where you will have the ability to participate and be involved in major sustainability projects.TasksAs our new colleague in Sustainability, you will have a range of diverse tasks related to the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and Science Based Targets initiative, our product carbon footprint, collecting, and analyzing sustainability-related data from our operations and supply chain, and reporting on our progress. Together with the team, you will help implement our sustainability strategy and goals and support sustainability projects across the organization. You will work closely with diverse departments across several countries and gain exposure to numerous influential brands in the food and beverage industry.Specific tasks:

  • Support the data collection for Scope 1, 2, and 3 according to Greenhouse Gas Protocol
  • Gather and analyze sustainability data from diverse sources
  • Updating our Product Carbon Footprint
  • Answering questionnaires for public reporting, such as CDP, EcoVadis, and others
  • Developing reporting processes, both internal and external, in collaboration with several functions and stakeholders
  • Working together with our customers, major food and beverage companies, on decreasing supply chain emissions
  • …and other various tasks related to strategic projects to accomplish our sustainability goals

As an ideal candidate, you also:

  • Have a relevant academic background, preferably master’s degree in sustainability management, engineering or comparable
  • Bring an awareness and motivation to stay up to date on upcoming data and reporting requirements
  • Are proactive, process-oriented, data-driven, and well-organized
  • Have an eye for details and are passionate about Sustainability
  • Experience with LCA software / Emission factor databases is an advantage
  • Are experienced with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Speak and write fluent English; German language capability is an advantage
