International companies can benefit from the state of the art advise of experienced Global Mobility experts to facilitate foreign assignments and contain associated costs.We are looking for Junior Personal Income Tax Consultants in our managed services team focusing on Compliance to work in one of our offices in Diegem, Antwerp, Ghent or Hasselt.Your key responsibilities
- You will work for clients and their employees on a daily basis in an international environment to comply with all relevant Belgian tax compliance obligations such as income tax returns, payrolls and communication with the Belgian tax authorities.
- You will notably assist them with:
- Cross border employment situations and Belgian/international tax implications.
- Build close relationships with your clients’ stakeholders such as payroll, global mobility and HR, as well as with the employees for whom we render services. You are their point of contact regarding all aspects of Belgian personal income tax compliance and linked services
- Ownership of day-to-day deliverables to your clients, able to apply in depth knowledge of your files with respect to:
- Belgian resident and non-resident tax returns
- Assistance during tax audits, tax claims, notices of changes and related correspondence with the tax authorities
- Review of tax bills, prepare tax equalization calculations and apply for special tax concession.
- The set-up of the payroll for these international clients and related consultation.
- Understand and apply the internal processes since data is key in our job
- You will interact and closely work with other teams within our department in order to provide the client the full package of personal income tax (HR legal team, Personal income tax advisory team, immigration). You will work as one team, share responsibility and engage to get the extra mile towards your client portfolio.
What we look for
- You completed or will complete a Master’s degree this summer in Law, (Applied) Economics or Commercial Sciences or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or accountancy/tax . A degree in Taxation is an asset.
- You are interested in personal tax and payroll matters in an international environment, do have a specialization in Tax or might be interested to start a Tax program.
- You have good verbal and written skills in Dutch or French and in English.
- You are eager to progress: self-knowledge and self-development are important for you.
- You like to communicate. You are not shy to engage in client relationships and have great writing skills.
- You are eager to work as a team player and at the same time find independence.
- You have an analytical mind and affinity with numbers.
