Your Job

The Industrial Engineer will play a key role in supporting new product introductions and ongoing product lifecycle management through the creation and maintenance of technical and process data within SAP and MII systems.

This role acts as a critical link between R&D, operations, and commercial teams, ensuring accurate product configuration, efficient production processes, and high data integrity to support manufacturing performance and customer requirements.

This job is 100% office based in our Molex Verdellino site.

Our Team

You will be part of the R&D technical team. The role involves regular interaction with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Production, Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, and global Molex teams.

The team consists of approximately 7-8 full-time employees (FTEs), offering a collaborative and hands-on environment. This position reports directly to the Hiring Manager (HM) within the R&D structure.

What You Will Do

Product & Data Management

  • Create and maintain SAP master data including material masters, BOMs, routings, production versions, and product hierarchies
  • Prepare technical documentation for new product introduction and product modifications
  • Manage labelling data and regulatory requirements (UL/CSA), ensuring compliance and system accuracy

Process & Continuous Improvement

  • Define and maintain manufacturing process flows in MII, including process sheets and production parameters
  • Analyse product construction, materials, and performance to optimise manufacturability and efficiency
  • Support process improvements, standardisation, and consolidation of semi-finished products

Change Management & Costing Support

  • Manage engineering and process changes, including feasibility and cost impact assessment
  • Maintain change registers and support periodic costing activities with Finance and Business Development teams
  • Perform data updates and mass uploads (e.g. lead times, cost-relevant data)

Data Analysis & Business Support

  • Extract and analyse SAP data to support operational, commercial, and planning decisions
  • Ensure data alignment across systems and support continuous improvement of data quality
  • Assist with troubleshooting SAP/MII issues and support internal stakeholders

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with R&D, Production, Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, and global Molex teams
  • Support customer-specific requirements including labelling, packaging, and price list integration
  • Collaborate with external suppliers (e.g. tooling / marking solutions) where required

Who You Are

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience within a similar position
  • Relevant experience in a similar position and familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP) in a manufacturing environment
  • Fluency in Italian, good English skills (written/spoken)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret technical data
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in an international environment
  • Good communication skills and stakeholder management
