• Works in close alignment with Category Manager in defining category strategy
• Drives assigned category on country level, structures category spend and derives saving- and cost avoidance initiatives
• Ensures implementation of global and local category initiatives
• Drives optimization of tactical and strategic sourcing processes
• Ensures category related target fulfillment (with focus on country savings and cost avoidance) and increase of managed spend

Professional Skills:

• Develops and aligns category strategy and initiatives with functional leaders on country level (e.g. Country COO, Country CIO)
• Contributes proactively to the Salix and Pre-Sourcing Process by developing and aligning category strategy and initiatives with functional leaders and functional departments on country level
• Drives assigned Pre-Sourcings by holding functional leaders accountable and ensuring execution on time
• Actively structures assigned categories and reduces unmanaged spend
• Challenges functional leaders, regarding supplier agreements and specifications, based on benchmarks and best practices
• Drives local and supports global tenders
• Negotiates local contracts / binding agreements with selected suppliers
• Leverages relevant value levers within categories such as process optimization, negotiations, tenders, bundling / supplier harmonization
• Identifies risks (e.g. delivery dates, capacities, exchange rates / prices for materials), evaluation and documentation of risks, development of risk management initiatives and scenarios
• Acts as an escalation stage for supply chain disruptions and risks
• Cooperates with and guides Procurement Operations in country

Leadership and Management skills:

• Makes sure that sourcing is seen as a business partner and value driver for the demand / specification owners and internal stakeholders in other functions
• Prioritizes initiatives, tracks and reports initiative results and respective confidence level (degree of target achievement)
• Drives knowledge development on supply markets
• Flexible on sourcing tools and negotiation strategies depending on respective area and business relevance
• Drives Functional Leader within Pre-Sourcing of initiatives
• Responsible for the decision, implementation and monitoring of initiatives
• Drives team spirit and collaboration within Global Category Team

Qualifications:

• University graduate degree (Bachelor) in a related discipline
• Multilingual (English mandatory)
• MS Office
• Sourcing experience esp. in Indirect Categories
• Strong communication skills
• Experienced in negotiation
• Conflict management skills
• Project management skills
• Conflict management skills
• Experience in Health Care Sector

Presence in the Monza HQ is required according to company flex-work policy (3 days office / 2 days smart working)
