University of the Arts London (UAL) is seeking a talented and motivated Junior Finance Business Partner to join our friendly and supportive Central Finance Business Partnering team on a full-time basis.You will provide a comprehensive and customer-orientated business partnering service to budget managers from across the University, providing relevant financial information that will facilitate the smooth running of the costing and budget monitoring process.Drawing on your in-depth, professional knowledge, you will work closely with budget holders to develop and manage budgets, support the quarterly forecasting process, and key decision making, ensuring these processes are completed in line with agreed approaches and to tight deadlines.You will seek to establish close working relationships with Knowledge Exchange (KE) stakeholders, in order to develop a full understanding of activities, deliverables, and operational challenges. This understanding will help you to provide advice on KE project costings, delivering relevant information that will support their decision making.You will also ensure that KE projects are recorded correctly within the finance system, performing relevant checks to confirm that tax, legal, financial, budgeting and HR and Payroll requirements have been fully considered and met correctly.About youYou will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject area and will be actively studying for a professional accounting qualification.
