Job summaryThis is a very exciting opportunity to join the Charing Cross Neurosciences team in a 6 month SHO position in Neurological Rehabilitation Unit. There is flexibility in the post to make it longer or shorter than 6 months. This post will provide the successful candidate with opportunities to get experience in all aspects of rehabilitation medicine from assessing suitability for rehabilitation in a patient who is in an acute neurological phase to establishing rehabilitation potential and taking the patient through specialist rehabilitation treatments. This role will include the opportunity to work on the newly established Rapid Access Acute Rehabilitation (RAAR) beds which is an initiative to improve access to inpatient rehabilitation.Main duties of the jobAccess Acute Rehab (RAAR) beds. The post holder will be involved in clerking and managing inpatients on CNRU who have complex physical and cognitive impairments.To manage acutely unwell patients on the neuro rehab ward and refer to other specialties if required.The post-holder will take an active part in patient management and will be under the supervision of the Consultant in Rehabilitation medicine.
