We are looking for a Junior Accounting Specialist to join a team supporting financial operations and partner billing processes in a dynamic, international setting. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work independently while collaborating closely with operations and sales teams, ensuring smooth transaction processing, reconciling accounts with business partners, and supporting inquiries in German. - Manage and implement processes related to agent collections and receivables, including full collections processing for brokers.
- Verify and record agent statements while monitoring timely transaction settlements.
- Work with partners, sales, and specialist departments to resolve billing/booking discrepancies (including premium and commission differences).
- Allocate cash receipts to outstanding claims based on agent statements.
- Answer telephone inquiries from internal and external partners (in German).
- Prepare individual statements and personalized correspondence.
Ideal candidate profile
- Fluency in both German (C1) and English (B2/C1).
- University degree (Bachelor’s degree is acceptable), preferably in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Professional experience in payment transactions, with a focus on accounting and collections.
- Independence and accountability when interacting with billing partners, especially brokers.
- Ability to record, evaluate, and reorganize professional and technical processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- Willingness to travel for business purposes (employment begins with a 2-week training in Germany).
