Junior Accountant

Job Description:

MainStreaming is expanding its business internationally and is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will support the accounting department in various tasks to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial records. This role is crucial in maintaining our financial health and supporting our growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Accounting: Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger maintenance.

• Month-End Closing: Support the month-end closing process, ensuring all entries are completed on time and accurately.

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage the processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.

• Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency in financial records.

• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies, including Italian GAAP and tax requirements.

• Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.

• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing new procedures to enhance efficiency.

• Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team and other departments, including sales, legal, HR, and marketing, to support overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in a fast-paced, growth-oriented company.

• Knowledge: Understanding of Italian GAAP and tax regulations. Experience with SAP finance modules is a plus.
