We are looking for an IT Chapter Lead within Tribe Payments. Someone who has a passion to lead and build a safe, secure and quality ecosystem of our critical IT assets for Commercial Cards products to serve our customers better every day. Your chapter consists of 2 teams of engineers with expertise both in development as well as operations based in Amsterdam and in Manilla, Philippines.Payments is on the move. For more about our way of working please visit: .Roles and responsibilitiesAs a Chapter Lead, you are a senior IT DevOps engineer who sets the example, transfers knowledge to your chapter, drives innovation, fostering an environment where your team members feel at home. - Together with the Product Lead, you take lead on your team’s development, delivery and timelines.
- Ensure quality and ownership for work delivered via sprints, set and improve standards according to the agile way of working.
- Together with your Engineers: you are end-responsible for keeping your IT environment up and running, healthy, secure, documented, and standardized where possible.
- Continuously work on skills improvements, expertise and personal growth of your IT engineers.
- Line management tasks such as hiring new employees, assess performance of current employees.
- Member of Tribe Management team, directing and delivering tribe wide initiatives.

- Fluency in English.
Engineering:
- Master’s degree in Software Engineering (or similar subject)
- Proven track record and proficiency in software development (8 + years): backend or front end.
- As we are pure DevOps profiles, so you are expected to refine, code, test and deploy your own work on our on-premise and cloud environments.
- Great reasoning skills and conceptual / architectural understanding, ability to quickly understand new technical concepts that are outside of your comfort zone.
- Strong interest and stay up to date on recent trends in software development and technology in general.
- IT Risk awareness, understanding of security concepts in software development.
